The National PTA Reflections program is underway for the 2016-17 school year. PTA Reflections is a nationally acclaimed student recognition program to encourage artistic creativity in the classroom and at home. Students of all grades and abilities may participate and explore the arts based on the 2016-2017 theme: What Is Your Story?
Through the program, National PTA, Cougar Valley PTA and PTAs across the country urge students in preschool through grade 12 to create and submit original works of art in the medium of their choice reflecting on a specific theme. There also is a special artist division option for students with disabilities to ensure that all students have the opportunity to participate in the program.
Students may choose one or all of the available arts categories:
- Dance Choreography
- Film Production
- Music Composition
- Visual Arts
Students are recognized each year for their artistic ingenuity to bring the theme to life in a way that is personal and meaningful. So, think about the 2016-17 theme: What Is Your Story? We want to know who you are and how you see the world around you.
Pick up a PTA Reflections Entry Form today in the hallway outside the Cougar Valley Library and return entries to the main office by November 10th. You can also download a form here. For more information contact Kari Six or visit the National Reflections PTA website.
